"WIN A TRIP TO ROME" TERMS & CONDITIONS
Information on how to enter and prize form part of these conditions of entry.
Entry is open to anyone over 18 years old.
Multiple entries are not permitted, only one entry permitted.
Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. The promotion commences 10/05/2009 and closes 11:59pm AEST on 01/05/2010. The draw will take place at ALLOUT PRODUCTIONS Level 2, 73 Macleay Street, Potts Point NSW 2010 on 02/05/2010, at 11am AEST. Winner will be notified by email and their name will be published in The Public notices section of The Australian. Judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. If the entry of the "WIN A TRIP TO ROME" does not reach the required entry amount of 100,000 people before the draw date, the draw will be posponed until that quota is made. The winner will then be published in The Australian.
There will be 1 prize on offer to 1 individual winner. The prize is for 2 people and the prize sharer is to be selected at the discretion of the winner. The first valid entry will win:
Return Premium Economy class flights to ROME for 2 adults from Sydney, and 5 nights accommodation at The Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese. (valued at up to AUD $9,900 depending on time of year trip is taken). Both persons must travel together on the same dates & routing. If the winner is not from Sydney, they must make their own way to Sydney in order to take the prize. If the winner wishes to stay longer — this will be at their own expense.
All components of the prize must be taken together. Prize is subject to Hotel availability and flight availability and conditions. The prize is as stated above and is not redeemable for cash, or airline points and is non transferable. The prize winner is subject to Sofitel Hotels International and Qantas normal booking conditions detailed on the websites.
Prize is based on twin share accommodation.
All other costs including additional meals, spending money, transport to and from departure/ arrival points, taxes, insurance, travel insurance, passports, visas, additional beverages, optional excursions whilst on tour and all other ancillary costs are the responsibility of the winner and their travel companion. ALLOUT PRODUCTIONS will arrange for delivery of the prize to the prize-winner.
Airport and airline lounge passes and Limousine transfers are not included with these tickets. Additionally, frequent flyer points cannot be accrued on these tickets.
Prize is valid for travel until one year after draw.. No extension on the validity date of this prize will be permitted. Once booked, any changes made to the booking may incur a cancellation fee or amendment fee at the cost of the winner. Embargo restrictions apply during certain periods.
Prices quoted are recommended retail and are correct at time of publishing and can be changed at any time subject to market fluctuation. Promoters and publishers take no responsibility for market price fluctuations.
Travel Insurance will be at the winner’s personal expense. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law to (a) disqualify any entrant; and/or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate. Prize is subject to booking and availability.
The winner (and his/her companion) is responsible for ensuring that they have any required travel documentation. The winner (and his/her companion) must depart from and return to the same point of departure and travel together. Frequent flyer points will not form part of the prize. Standard conditions for tickets and accommodation apply. The winner may be required to present credit card at time of check in at accommodation.
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorized access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Conditions of Entry; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; and/or (f) use of the prize.
In the event that a portion of the prize is awarded to the winner in the form of a voucher / ticket / pass, redemption of that portion of the prize will be subject to the terms and conditions stipulated on the voucher / ticket / pass. The Promoter will not be liable for any voucher / ticket / pass that has been lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with in any way.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the promoter reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster (including natural disaster), the Promoter reserves the right to either provide an alternative travel prize (including an alternative destination as specified by the Promoter) to the same value as the original prize or, subject to any applicable laws or written directions made under applicable legislation, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
If the required information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion. By entering the promotion, each entrant agrees that the Promoter may disclose entrants’ personal information to applicable State and Territory lottery departments, and that the winner's name and locality will be published as required under the relevant lottery legislation.
By entering this promotion, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by the phone user or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this competition, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this competition including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of all entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry.
All entries become property of the Promoter the collection, use and disclosure of all personal information collected in connection with this promotion is governed by the Privacy Notice.
By entering the promotion, unless otherwise advised by the entrant, each entrant consents to the information they submit (being entered into a database and the Promoter may use this information in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference or payment or other compensation to the entrant.
